The girls in 5th and 6th class were challenged to think outside the box to solve some Maths Week puzzles.
In September we went on a walk around Athenry. We had lot’s of fun and took photos of our favourite places.
6th were reading a extract of Roald Dahls book The Witches . We were enjoying it so much we drew a witch and the differences between us and them
We researched our favourite wild animals and presented them to the class. We had so much fun making and listening to other peoples projects.
6th class made paper maché bowls. We made them using flour water and news paper. They were very easy and fun to make.
6th class have been learning about ancient Egypt. As part of this lesson we have learnt how to write in hieroglyphs. Hieroglyphs is the form of writing that the ancient Egyptians used.
For Space Week 6th class made foam rockets. We enjoyed making and designing them. We tested them to see how high and far they could go. We went so high some went over the roof.
6th class started knitting recently. So far we have made bunnies , pumpkins and are now making of ghosts. We are really enjoying it and looking forward to knitting lots more over the year....
