Easter Raffle Extravanganza

We had a fun-filled assembly this morning as Mrs Neylon wished us a very happy Easter Break and Mr Byrne sang some songs to send us happily on our way to Easter. We also said goodbye to Mrs Wallace and presented her with some flowers.

This was followed by the Easter Raffle organised by Mrs Monson’s Sixth Class. The proceeds of the raffle are going to the Irish Pilgrimage Trust which funds bringing children with special needs to Lourdes at Easter time.  Mrs Monson and Mrs Neylon presented a cheque for 828 euro to Maureen Canon who is very much involved with this very worthwhile cause. Congratulations to Isaac Heffernan from Junior Infants who won the first prize, which was a monster Easter Egg! There was a fantastic selection of prizes for the lucky ticket holders to choose from and the children very much enjoyed the morning.

Well done to the Students Council for organising such a worthwhile fundraiser and  a big thank you to all the children of the school who supported it  by buying tickets.
