Congratulations to the four senior classes who participated in the Peace Proms Choir Concert in the Kingfisher hall NUIG. A very sincere thank you again to the class teachers, Mrs Monson, Miss Murray, Mrs Greally and Mrs Hennessy for teaching and training the girls for this special event.

The Parents’ Council wish to thank all of you who supported our Fun Table Quiz in Dowling’s Bar last Friday. The sum of €1,000 was raised.

Our annual Book Fair supplied by Tara Book Company from Kilcolgan is taking place this week. This company is highly committed to fostering and encouraging a love of reading in children, and to supporting and promoting Irish authors and publishers.  Children will have an opportunity to view the books on Monday & Tuesday and parents will be invited in from Tuesday to Friday from 9 – 9.45am and from 1.30 – 2.30pm.  Books will be available to suit all pockets. The cost of books will be rounded to the nearest euro. There is no pressure on any family to purchase books. Staff welcome assistance from the Parents Council and parents in running the Book Fair. The Student Council wish to announce that children may come into school dressed as a character in a book on Friday the 12th of February.
