Congratulations to the sixteen Athletes who participated in the County Sports last week. Kayla was awarded first prize in the Under 11 long distance race and Leonore was awarded third place. Kerri was awarded third prize in the Under 9 long distance race.

 

Children from 1st up to 6th class will get their Test Results in the next few days. If you need to meet with teacher, please note date and time on test result letter.

 

School Tours

  • McDonald’s 2nd class are going to Dublin Zoo this Wednesday, the 1st of June at a cost of €25. The children will depart at 7.15am and return at 5.40pm.
  • Wallace’s and Ms. Alani’s 1st class are going to the Let’s Go Activity Camp in the Kingfisher Club NUI Galway this Thursday, the 2nd of June at a cost of €33. The children will depart at 8.15am and return at 4pm.
  • Tyrrell’s Junior & Senior Infants, Ms. Murray’s & Mr. Hanley’s Senior Infants will visit Glendeer Pet Farm this Thursday, the 2nd of June at a cost of €16. The children will depart at 8.45am sharp and arrive home at 1.30pm.
  • Hennessy’s and Mrs. Greally’s 3rd & 4th class are going on the Outdoor Adventure & Bushcraft Skills Tour in Athlone this Thursday, the 2nd of June at a cost of €35. The children will depart at 9.15am and arrive home at 4.00pm.
  • Murray’s 5th class and Mrs. Monson’s 6th class are going on a Chinese Dragon Boat and Activity Tour in Athlone on Thursday week, the 9th of June at a cost of €40. The children will depart at 8.30am and arrive home at 5.00pm.
  • O’Reilly’s & Ms. Sheridan’s Junior Infants will visit Turoe Pet Farm on Friday week, the 10th of June at a cost of €19. The children will depart at 9am sharp and arrive home at 1.30pm.

 

Our school wish to support the Billy’s Dolls of Comfort Charity. This charity provides new or second hand dolls to comfort patients who have suffered brain injury or illness (Alzheimer’s). If you would like to donate a doll for this charity, please forward as soon as possible.

 

There will be no school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the 6th, 7th & 8th of June.  The staff will be receiving In-service on the New Language Curriculum on Wednesday.

 

Dates for Diary

  • The four senior classes will visit Teagasc Farming and Country Life 1916 celebrations on Friday, the 10th of June
  • Reception Meeting for parents of new pupils for September 2016 on Wednesday, the 15th of June at 8pm.
  • Open afternoon for new Junior Infants on Thursday, the 16th of June from 12.30 – 1.30pm.
  • First Class boys will visit the Boys School on Thursday, the 16th of June
  • Active School Week will take place from the 20 to 24th of June
  • Graduation Mass for 6th class girls and 1st class boys on Monday the 27th of June at 11am
